Obituary of Jerrold L. Krutz
Jerrold L. ?Jerry? Krutz, 64, of Swart Hill Rd., Town of Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady following a brief illness.
Born in Amsterdam on May 24, 1940 a son of Adolf E. and Eleanor Dawson Krutz. Jerry was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a 1958 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He later received his Associate?s Degree from SUNY Cobleskill in 1960.
Mr. Krutz was a Self-Employed Family Dairy Farmer for over 25 years at the Kruhaven Farm on Swart Hill Rd. retiring in 2000. He was currently working for the Greater Amsterdam School District as a School Bus Driver.
Mr. Krutz was a member of the Animal Husbandry Association, He was also a member of the Amsterdam Lodge #84, F & AM., he was a member of the Cranesville Reformed Church and was a Deacon and Elder of the Church Consistory.
He married Dolores ?Dee? Zukoski Krutz November 18, 1961 who survives.
In addition to his wife survivor?s include-
One Son- Kenneth Krutz and his wife Theresa of Amsterdam
Two Daughters- Lynn Krutz of Amsterdam & Laurie Mead and her husband Brian of Amsterdam
Two Grandsons- Joseph Krutz and Cole Mead.
One Nephew-David Kolpakas and his wife Lisa.
Two Brothers in Law- Al Kolpakas and Tom Zukoski and a Sister In Law- Stephanie Kolpakas.
Several cousins also survive.
Mr. Krutz was pre-deceased by a Daughter- Karen Krutz in 2000.
He was also pre-deceased by a Brother- Kenneth J. Krutz in 1960.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with the Rev. Jacob Marvel presiding. Interment will be in the Spring in the West Glenville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5-8P.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Cranesville Reformed Church, Cranes Hollow Rd., Amsterdam, The Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department, 167 Riverview Dr., Amsterdam, or to G.A.V.A.C.
