Obituary of Anna Irene Peclet
Mrs. Anna Irene Peclet, 86, Blue Barns Rd., Burnt Hills, NY, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the home of her son in Simpsonville, SC. She is dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
Born on May 17, 1918 in Munich, Germany she was the daughter of Joseph and
Anna Kestel Ostermayer. In 1928 Anna immigrated, with her family Ridgewood, Queens.
Mrs. Peclet married Edward Lewis Peclet on August 29, 1936. They lived in
Fonda, East Nassau, and Burnt Hills, New York from 1937 until 1984. In
1984 they moved to Goosecreek, SC and then to Andrews, NC. Mr. Peclet passed away in October of 1991. Anna remained in Andrews until 2002 when she returned to Burnt Hills to reside with her daughter and son-in-law. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Joseph Edward Peclet Jr., and her sister, Hedwig Russwurm.
Anna was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook, and expert seamstress. She loved her family and friends, helped out whenever there was a need. She was a member of ?Girls with Pearls? and loved attending the ballet or going to the theater. She was especially proud of her work with the Women's Guild of the Holy Redeemer Church in Andrews.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Edward Peclet and his wife Donna of Simpsonville, SC; one daughter, JoAnn Friess and her husband Thomas of Burnt Hills, NY; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Jansen and Amy Marie Bentley; three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Haley and Sean; and three step-great-grandchildren; Katie, Samantha and Dylan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday May 6th at 1:00 p.m. at St.
Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Fonda, NY. Burial will take place in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Anna's memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205-3890. Please sign the Family's guest book at www.brbsfuneral.com
