Frannie and Lucille, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. Your parents were godparents to both myself and my brother Robert. I remember going into the store with my dad each Sunday after church and somehow, I always ended up with a candy bar. I also had the opportunity to visit your home a few times. Your parents were always sweet. Your dad was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Franny and Lucille- Although I cant recall the times I've spent with your family, I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies and prayers on the loss of your father and my godfather. Joe and his famous market will be sorely missed in the Amsterdam Community. May God carry you through these next few days, weeks and months and keep your father forever in your hearts.
Sincerely,
Robert Tambasco

To the Martuscello family I want to express my deepest sympathy in your loss. I am a Retired Detective from the Amsterdam Police Department and I can't tell you the amount of times that Joe was there for me and any member of the Amsterdam Police department. Whether it be a donation, a clambake or whatever we were having, Joe was always there to donate whatever we asked for or needed. My Mom and Dad who have both passed away used to live at the Amsterdam High Rise and any time they needed groceries delivered, Joe and Joes Market was always there. He will be surely missed by his family but just as much by the citizens of Amsterdam and Montgomery County. Joe was my friend and I will surely miss him, may he rest in peace.
