Obituary of Elois Cole

Mrs. Elois Friers Cole, 79 years, of Copeland Road, Lynn, MA passed away Friday in a local nursing home in Massachusetts after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Cole. She was born in Fultonville, NY the daughter of the late George and Ada Borden Friers. She was raised in Fultonville, NY and attended schools there. She lived in Canajoharie, NY most of her life and the past 3 years in Lynn. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Canajoharie, NY. She was also a member of the Women?s Club, the Monday Evening Club, The Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Women?s Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was active in the Republican Party in New York. She was a former Representative in New York and Town Clerk in Canajoharie, NY for over 30 years. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah H. Wheeler and her husband Robert E. Wheeler of Lynn, MA; two grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin Wheeler of Lynn, MA; four brothers, James G., Arthur, Robert and David Friers all of New York; sisters, Irene Meyer of Texas, Jean Palmatier, Dorothy Rose and Katherine Lusso all of New York. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday April 16, 2005 at 11:00A.M. at the Canajoharie United Methodist Church, in Canajoharie, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Briarcliff Day Away Program, Lynnfield St., Lynn, MA 01904 or to the Canajoharie United Methodist Church.
