Obituary of Carlos Torres
Mr. Carlos Torres, 41 years old of John Street, Amsterdam, died Thursday at Palms of Pasedena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Torres was born April 20, 1964 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, a son of Ramon and Carmen Carmona Torres. He moved to Amsterdam as an infant where he had since resided. Mr. Torres was a 1982 graduate of Amsterdam High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the City of Amsterdam as a truck driver for the Dept. of Public Works for many years. Mr. Torres was a communicant of St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He was very proud of his heritage, loved his music and was a very kind person. Mr. Torres is survived:

His grandson, Silas Ray Banta, aunts, uncles, 2 nieces, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 8:30am Monday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, followed at 9:15am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael?s Church. Burial will take place at St. Michael?s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3:00 until 6:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made: American Heart Association, P.O.
