To the Hughes Family,
I am very sorry for the loss of Mark. I also have recently lost a loved one, my beloved wife Mary Lou, to this horrible disease, and I know the pain and heartache you are experiencing. Although I did not know Mark, I feel I did know him through my talks with you Judy, at the Cancer Center. I think the words gave us some temporary encourgment at the time.
Mark is at peace now, he suffers no more. I am sure he is looking down on all of you with admiration and pride. He will be guiding you in life. He will always be with you in your hearts. For his short time on this earth, he sure did make an impact on a lot of people. God bless him.
Sorry I could not make the wake and funeral. I was out of town on business last week.

Nori and family, Judy, Mark, Marty, Linda:
I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Mark and the Hughes family. Growing up in a small catholic school we all became a family. I cherish those memories... laughing, school dances.. and then on to HS school and beyond. I haven't spoken to Mark, Marty or Judy in several years, but the last Christmas I saw them at the Marcellino house was memorable. We sang, joked and laughed. Nori, I was so happy when I heard the two of you were married, and were blessed with children. I pray that you find strength and peace. Please know that my family's thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless.

I have so many memories of Mark?Mark, the comedian and class clown; Mark, the Don Juan of St. Stan?s; Mark, the leader, the class president?but the most lasting memory is of Mark, the family man. The last time I saw Mark was at our 10-year high school reunion. I?ll always remember how happy he was? gushing about his marriage to Nori, pulling out a photo of his new baby and telling me about the house in Hagaman. It doesn?t seem that long ago, and yet it was a lifetime. Goodbye my friend, rest in peace.

God bless all of you during this difficult time.

I know this has been a long, difficult, trying few years and now Mark is at peace, he is whole again and does not suffer any more.

There are no words to adequately express my condolences to the entire Hughes family. Mark was my co-worker who quickly became a true friend. One you could ALWAYS depend on for a laugh, an unbiased ear, a solid opinion, always a stellar devil's advocate and a genius of trivial fact. I believe we are all brought together for a purpose in this life, and I will always cherish the time my life was blessed by Mark, and I will continue to cherish Nori and the children, who Mark loved with all his heart. If I ever could choose someone to be my brother, it would be Mark. Mark touched many lives, and created many smiles along his way. God Bless you all during this time.
