Obituary of Carol J. Ashton

Carol J. Ashton, age 61, of Gloversville, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1943 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Hopkins Ashton. She was educated in Gloversville schools and was a graduate of Gloversville High School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially her cats. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. For many years Carol had been employed by the former Coleco Industries in both Mayfield and Amsterdam. She most recently was employed at Robison & Smith, Inc. in Gloversville. Her sisters Eleanor Wagner and Marion Glenn of Gloversville, her brother George Ashton of Gloversville, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews survive her. There will be no calling hours. Private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
