Obituary of Edward M. Redziniak

Edward M. Redziniak, 86, formerly of Oakland Ave, Amsterdam, passed away Monday May 30th, 2005 at the Park Hill Adult Home in Amsterdam. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on November 23, 1918 a son of Damien and Mary Wojcik Redziniak. He was a Graduate of St. Stanislaus School in Amsterdam and Amsterdam High School. Mr. Redziniak was a Veteran in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He lived in Amsterdam most of his life he first worked for the former Mohasco Co. and General Electric in Vermont. He last worked at the Eagle St. Garage before his retirement. At one time he was the Owner and Operator of a Mobil Gas Station in Amsterdam at the corner of Liberty and Main St. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam and a member of the church?s Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 701 in Amsterdam. He married Clara Zarecki Redziniak , she passed away in 1992. Survivor?s include- One Daughter- Bonnie Morin and her husband Richard of Ballston Spa, NY One Brother- Walter Redziniak of Ft. Johnson, NY One Sister- Lillian Truax of Virginia Two Grandsons- Keith Zilles and his wife Joy Zilles. Brian Zilles and his wife Donia Zilles. Two Great-Grandchildren- A Great-Granddaughter -Peyton Zilles and a Great-Grandson- Troy Zilles. His Dear Friend- Stella Mateunas of Hagaman, NY Other Dear Friends- Stanley and Evelyn Rimkunas of Amsterdam and Chuck and Pat Rugar of Ballston Spa, NY. Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 2, 2005 at 9:00A.M. at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. David Mickiewicz as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday June 1, 2005 from 5-7P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Stanislaus Church, Cornell St. Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, Manny Corners Rd. Amsterdam, NY 12010.
