Obituary of Dorothy Boyd Frederick

Mrs.Dorothy H Boyd Frederick, age 68, of 44 Western Blvd, Gloversville NY, died May 31, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Gloversville, NY . Mrs. Frederick was born February 25, 1937 in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of Donald and Lucille Lawton Boyd. She was educated in the Gloversville schools. Mrs. Frederick was a home maker, but worked for a time for Cresendoe Gloves in Johnstown as a clerk. She was fond of crocheting, ceramics, bingo, and spending time with her family, who were very dear to her. She is survived by her husband, Milford Frederick, her son Rick George Frederick and his partner Richard C. Frank of Albany, her daughter Joy Irvin of Reno, Nevada, and her mother Lucille Lawton Boyd of Northville. Also surviving are her brothers John Boyd and his wife Lynn of Bellingham, Washington, Richard Boyd and his wife Dawn, and Calvin Boyd all of Gloversville, her sister Mrs. Beverly Snyder of Gloversville, grandchildren Sommer Carapel and Justin Irvin, and great granddaughter Alicia Nicole Colby, all of Reno, Nevada, and several nieces and nephews. A very special friend of over 60 years, Joan Paul, also survives. Two sisters, Mary Lou Morey and Mrs. Frederick?s twin sister Doris Gibson, as well as her brother Donald Boyd Jr., died before her. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, with the Rev. Carson O. Mouser officiating. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
