Obituary of Pauline Marie Wintermute
Mrs. Pauline Marie Ball Wintermute, age 85, of Mayfield, died Monday, June 20, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.
She was born May 26, 1920 in Binghamton, NY, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lucy Kitner Ball. A 1938 graduate of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania High School, Pauline moved to this area in 1961. She had been an official at one time at the Gloversville Moose Lodge, Democratic Club, Mayfield Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Mayfield Servicemen´s Club Auxiliary, Bannertown Fair Committee and the Lucky Ladies Club. She was also involed with TOPS #835 Broadalbin and the Board of Elections.
Pauline was a homemaker who loved to do crafts and attend craft shows. She enjoyed her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Wintermute of Mayfield; six children, Howard Wintermute Marsha of Fort Plain, Judy Carter Bob of Mayfield, Dale Wintermute and her companion Wayne Kenyon of Gloversville, Pauline Krawczyk Paul of Saratoga Springs, Marlene Wintermute and her companion Reggie Porter of Gloversville and Bobbi Ricciardi Alex of Mayfield; three sisters, Janice Jandron of California, Delores Lunger of Pennsylvania and Merle DeGeorgia of Florida; 15 grandchildren, Robert Wintermute, Karla Buck, Kelli Wambles, Jodi Polley, Jason Wintermute, Holly Wintermute, Tammy Montana, Robert Carter, Patricia Parker, Kristopher Porter, Wendi Porter, Kelly Angell, Matthew Krawczyk, Derek Ricciardi and Ereka Ricciardi; 23 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her sister Margaret Brown preceded Pauline in death.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield, with the Rev. Chris Wintermute, nephew of the deceased, officiating.
