Dear Hondo
its been over a year since yu passed away.i never personally met yu but i remember like it was yesterday when yu passed away. Richii your nephew called me up crying n telling me what happened. he loved you dearly. recently a lil over a month ago him and his friend Ryan passed away too. also doing the thing they loved...go-karting... i cant wait to see you all again n to finally meet you Richii spoke very highly of you. I want to express how very sorry I am for your loss. Hondo was a great driver and and extrodinary man I was looking forward to racing him someday on the track. I only meet Hondo last Tuesday at Albany Saratoga even though I have been covering Fonda Speedway for several years now for AARN. I can only say that I am very sorry I didn't meet him sooner because he seemed to be not only a great person but had a charismatic charm about him. We will deeply miss him at Fonda.

My husband and I did not know Hondo all that well, but we did have the pleasure to meet him. I know that if we had spent more time with him, we would have loved him. I regret that we did not have the opportunity to get to know him better. Our sincerest apologies to his family. Please know that we will truly miss him.
