Obituary of Esther Canfield

Mrs. Esther Javarone Canfield, formerly of Johnstown, died Tuesday morning, July 5, 2005 at Glengariff Care Center, Glen Cove, NY. She was born August 4, 1926 in Gloversville, the daughter of Albert and Anna De Vilio Javarone. She was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Gloversville, and the 50 Plus Senior Citizens of Johnstown. Mrs. Canfield is survived by her son, Dr. Douglas Canfield of Fort Plain; daughter, Janet Anne Canfield of Glen Cove; two brothers, Lewis Javarone of Tarpin Springs, FL and Albert Javarone of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jonathan D. Canfield and Jennifer L. Canfield, and several nieces, nephews and cousons. Her sister, Gloria Rios predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, 149 S. Main St; Gloversville. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
