Obituary of Robert M. Stevens

Mr. Robert M. Stevens Jr., age 60 of Caroga Lake died Thursday, July 21, 2005 at his home. He was born May 24, 1945 in Buffalo, the son of Robert Sr. and Jane Robinson Stevens. A graduate of Oswego State Teachers College in 1967, he began teaching that same year in the Johnstown School Dostrict. He retired in 2000 as a technology teacher at the Johnstown Junior High School. An avid outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed playing golf, skiing and sailing. He was currently chairman of the town of Caroga zoning board of appeals. Robert is survived by his wife, the former Linda Pedrick, and a son Robert Stevens of Caroga Lake; his mother, Jane Robinson Stevens of E. Aurora, NY; three brothers, Michael Stevens of Chino Hills, CA; William Stevens of Rochester and Peter Stevens of New Orleans, LA; several nieces, and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A memorial celebration of Robert?s life will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Cremation took place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
