Obituary of Richard D. Youngs

Richard D. Youngs, Sr., 45, of Schauber Rd, Ballston Lake, NY, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005, at St. Peter?s Hospital in Albany. Born in Amsterdam on October 18, 1959, a son of Robert A. Youngs and Barbara A. Fordham Schotts. He was a 1977 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. Mr. Youngs was the owner/operator of the RY Contracting Inc. in Ballston Lake. He formerly was the owner/operator of RY Construction in Amsterdam. He moved to Ballston Lake along with his wife in 1998. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He loved to work. He was very proud of his family; his family was his life. Mr. Youngs was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, and enjoyed riding with his sons and family. He also enjoyed playing with his beloved grandchildren. He was a member of the John J. Wyszomirski American Legion Post 701. He is survived by his mother, Barbara A. Schotts, of Amsterdam; his beloved wife, JoAnn Gugliemelli Youngs, who he married on February 25, 1978; two sons, Richard D. Youngs, Jr. and his wife Casey of Ballston Lake, NY and Dennis J. Youngs and his wife Danyell of Ballston Lake, NY; two daughters, Michelle Youngs-Reilly and her husband Kevin of Amsterdam and Kayla Youngs-Febbie and her husband Tim of Saratoga, NY; two brothers, Robert S. Youngs and his companion Marge Polikowski of Amsterdam and James Youngs and his companion Tracey Kuc of Amsterdam; two sisters, Lisa Husted and her husband Rick of Amsterdam and Emily Brasmeister and her companion Paul Korona of Hagaman and seven grandchildren: Katelynn Marie Bartlett, Alyssa Ann Reilly, Mackenzie Jo Reilly, Caydon Thomas Youngs, Cuyler James Youngs, Dennis Jonathan Youngs Jr, and Daykoda Lynn Youngs. Aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2005, at 7:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday August 31, 2005 from 5-7PM prior to the funeral service. The John J. Wyszomirski American Legion Post 701 will be meeting at the funeral home at 6PM in Richard's honor. Interment is private. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard?s memory to the Memorial Bike Ride in his honor c/o Richard, Jr., 492 Schauber Rd., Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
