Sorry for your loss. Mr. Carr touched a great many people in many ways and his teachings, humor, and example shall live on in all of us. We all have our memories of him and I believe he helped many to be better students and better people. What a great legacy. I will honor him by trying to pass on the lessons and stories I remember from him. Again...sorry for your loss.

Mr. Carr was a great teacher who helped me get over my fear of oral book reports. I am now a teacher myself and yes Mr. Carr....vocabulary is very important! To the family- I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless you.

Mr. Carr was a very passionate teacher teaching us students not just English but to strive for what we want out of Life ... I'll always appreciate that about him!
And on a personal note he was my friend Danny's father ... and I'm so sorry for her loss!

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Carr. I have many fond memories of him both as a teacher and as the father of one of my friends Remember those slumber parties?. He opened the world of literature to me and I will be forever grateful!

Virgil cared for all of his students and was there for all of us. He did his very best to make the harder parts of English or the most boring parts as interesting and easy to understand for those that didn't catch on to it so easy. He made a big impact on alot of lives. My sympathy goes to you Rosalie and to you Dave, Lynn & Danielle.

Virg was a great friend,first met him when his family spent summers at Morrisons Boarding House when he was 12 yrs old. Knew him all my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and Rosalie.

Mr. Carr was one of my favorite teachers at Wells Central School ... he always shared fascinating stories about his life that made English class much more exciting! He will be sadly missed.
