Obituary of Mary E. Cross

Mrs. Mary E. Mitchell Cross, age 73 of Johnstown, died Saturday morning, September 3, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. She was born July 31, 1932 in Whallensburgh, NY, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Corbett Mitchell. A lifelong resident of Willsboro, NY; Mary worked at a nursing home for several years. She moved to Johnstown in March to reside with her son following the death of her husband Dwayne Cross Sr. on February 12, 2005. Mary is survived by two children, Cindy Brady of Manntana and Dwayne Cross Jr. of Johnstown; two brothers, Harry Mitchell of Ballston Spa and Leslie Mitchell of Jay, NY; five sisters, Ann MacDougall of Schenectady, Margaret Baker of Gloversville, Ruby White of Michigan, Alice Borden of Westport and Shirley Potter of Summit; two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Memorial Cemetery, Willsboro, NY. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
