Obituary of Robert J. Moskal
Robert J. Moskal, 75, of Bunn St, Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Monday September 5, 2005 at St. Mary?s Hospital.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 5, 1930 a son of John and Martha Dominic Moskal. He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. Mr. Moskal was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was employed for many years as a Colorist for the former Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam retiring from there in the early 1980?s.
Mr. Moskal had an avid love for dogs. He was a member of the former Amsterdam Dog Club. He was also a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.
He is survived by a dear friend, Dennis Dubicke of Amsterdam; two sisters, Geraldine Bull of Schenectady and Barbara Campo of Amsterdam and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Moskal was pre-deceased by four brothers: Leo Moskal, Casimir Moskal, Andy Moskal and Theodore Moskal and two sisters: Lottie and Joanna.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 9, 2005 at 8:15AM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Cornell St., Amsterdam with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti as celebrant. Interment is in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday September 8, 2005 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
