Obituary of Clarence Dennie Becker

Mr. Clarence D. ?Dennie? Becker Jr, age 77, of Sinclair Rd; Northville, NY, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Dennie was born September 19, 1927 in Mayfield, the son of the late Clarence and Violet Hunter Becker. He received a degree in accounting as a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Greater Boston, MA. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was employed at General Electric Company in Schenectady. He later became a financial analyst for the IBM Corporation and worked in Armonk, NY and Silver Spring, MD. He was a member of the Northville United Presbyterian Church, Northville. On June 28, 1953 he was married to Kathryn Tyrrell who died January 25, 2001. ?Dennie? and ?Kat? lived in Rockville and Silver Spring, Maryland for 37 years. Survivors include five children, Yvonne Hobbs David of Dover, DE; Larry Becker Ruthie of Herkimer, NY; Les Becker and Hollis Becker Linda both of South Carolina and James Becker of Gaithersburg, MD; a sister, Dolores Brunner of Palm Coast, FL; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Northville United Presbyterian Church, Northville, with the Rev. Kirianne E. Weaver officiating. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 or the charity of your choice.
