Obituary of Gary R. Betler

Mr. Gary R. Betler Sr; age 64, died Monday, September 12, 2005 at his home in Gloversville. He was born April 24, 1941 in Mayfield, a son of the late Roy and Dorothy McClary Betler. He was employed at the former Mayfield Glove Company, also at Art Stone Company in Gloversville, and Ryan Burial Vault Company and Fort Miller Burial vault Company in Amsterdam. He last worked at Coleco Industries in Mayfield. Gary was a member of the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Faith DaCorsi Betler of Mayfield; four children, Tina M. Betler of Mayfield; Gary R. Betler, Jr. and Douglas Betler of Gloversville and Eric Betler of Johnstown, a brother, Roger Betler of Mayfield; three sisters, Diana Darling of Gloversville, Linda Walker of Florida and Sally Johnson of Gloversville; six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St.; Gloversville, where a Legacy Candle Ceremony will take place at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield.
