Obituary of Genevieve M. Fisher

Genevieve M. Fisher, 95, formerly of the High Rise Apartments, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Broadalbin on April 9, 1910, the daughter of Frank and Bridget Burke Meaney, she lived in this area her entire life. Genevieve was employed as a bookkeeper for Breiers of Amsterdam. Her husband, Wilbur Fisher, predeceased her. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church and was an active member at one time of the Perth, Hagaman and Hi Lo Seniors. Dear friends, Donald and Eileen MacVean of Amsterdam survive her. The Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Lawrence J. Decker on Tuesday at 9:15 am at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment is in the Hagaman Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend. At Genevieve?s request, there are no calling hours.
