Obituary of Deborah N. Poremba

Deborah N. Poremba, 50, of Gorski Street, passed away early Thursday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital after a long illness, with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam on June 1, 1955, the daughter of the late John and Adeline Gomula Ratkewicz, she was a 1973 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Debbie enjoyed knitting, reading and was an animal lover. A homemaker, she was a communicant of St. Casimir?s Roman Catholic Church. Her loving family includes her daughter, Aimee J. Poremba of Clifton Park, and her son, John L. Poremba, Jr. of Amsterdam; aunts and cousins also survive. At Debbie?s request, all services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus? Cemetery. There are no calling hours, and contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, to whom her family has entrusted her arrangements.
