Dear Gayle,
It has been a long struggle for you over the past few years with your Father. Now, he is at peace and able to join your Mother. You did more than anyone else I know in taking care of a parent. I am sure even in his darkest moods he was thankful, loving and cherished you. It is a terrible disease and unknown to most unless they have lost a love one to it. What he was toward the end was not who he was and he could not have asked for anything more as you were devoted. I know it is hard to say good bye, but it was time to end the suffering.
