Obituary of Sandra M. Ratajczak

Sandra M. Ratajczak, 42, of County Highway 126, Town of Perth, passed away suddenly late Monday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born in Schenectady on Dec. 19, 1962, the daughter of William and Bonnie Blesser Burdette, she was a graduate of Draper High School. She later attended Schenectady Community College where she studied nursing. Sandy was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed crafts and her collection of curio memorabilia. Devout in her faith, she attended St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church. On her birthday, Dec. 19, 1982, she was united in marriage to James R. Ratajczak. In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her son, James R. Ratajczak Jr.; her dear parents, William and Bonnie Burdette of Schenectady; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Blesser of Schenectady; brothers, Robert and William Burdette of Schenectady; sister, Sherri Burdette of Annandale, Va.; mother in law, Joan Ratajczak of Ilion; father in law Robert Ratajczak of Broadalbin; a niece, and several aunts, uncles and cousins and her cat Storm survive her. A brother, James Burdette predeceased her. Services are Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial which will celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Mary?s Church. Interment is in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
