Obituary of Margaret Helen Toney

Miss Margaret Helen Toney, age 90, formerly of Washburn Street, Gloversville, died November 13, 2005 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility following a long illness. Miss Toney was born in Gloversville on February 21, 1915, daughter of the late Michael and Susan Betor Toney. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and for a number of years was employed in the accounting department of the General Electric Company. She later operated Toney?s RKO Market on Lincoln Street in Gloversville. Miss Toney was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Monica Chapter 486 in Johnstown. Survivors include several nieces and a nephew. She was pre-deceased by a sister Sylvia Toney and her brothers Albert Altone, and Anthony Toney. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street with the Rev. Larry Johnson, pastor of the Gloversville Wesleyan Church officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
