Obituary of Alice Youker Green

Mrs. Alice Youker Green, age 78, of Mayfield, NY, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at High Ridge House, Riverdale, NY. She was born June 9, 1927 in the town of Oppenheim, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Maybell Leavenworth Youker. A 1943 graduate of Dolgeville High School, Alice was the co-owner of The Village Shop in Dolgeville for about 30 years until it was sold in 1980. Alice was married October 27, 1945 to Daniel Green who died December 3, 1981. She is survived by her companion, Thelma M. Childs of Mayfield; a sister, Ruth Y. Goodbread of Palatine Bridge; a step son, Daniel K. Green of Dolgeville; four step grandchildren, James K. Green of Gloversville, Kenneth Green of New Hampshire, Susan Green of Boston, MA and Daniel Green of Dolgeville. It was Alice?s request that here be no calling hours or services. Private interment will take place at Dolgeville Cemetery, Dolgeville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County S.P.C.A; 486 Stever?s Mills Rd; Broadalbin, NY 12025.
