Obituary of Frances S. Smith

Frances S. Smith, 88, of Division St. Amsterdam passed away Sunday November 20, 2005 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on August 30, 1917 she was a daughter of John and Martha Juozapaitis Rusilas. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. Mrs. Smith was employed for over 18 years at the former Mohawk Sportswear Store, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Casimir?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She married her husband Edward F. Smith on September 17, 1939; he passed away on April 30, 1980. She is survived by one son, Robert Smith and his wife Debra of Amsterdam, and two grandchildren, Teri Lynn Smith and Aaron R. Smith of Amsterdam. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 28, 2005 at 11:30A.M. at St. Casimir?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Interment of Cremated Remains will be in St. Casimir?s Cemetery.
