Obituary of Eleanor Mae Zeller
Mrs. Eleanor Mae Zeller, 94, of 234 Hartley Road, Town of Florida passed away Monday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital with her daughter and son at her side.
Born August 21, 1911 in the Town of Charleston she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Mabel Humphrey Shaffer. She attended local schools.
Mrs. Zeller was employed at Montco in the Shipping and Receiving Department.
On June 1st, 1935 she was united in marriage to Clifford Cooper who passed away in 1962. On July 4, 1965 she married Jay Zeller and in 1972 they moved to Florida. For 24 years they lived in Gainesville and Frost Proof, Florida until Jay?s death in 1996. Mrs. Zeller then moved back to Amsterdam.
Mrs. Zeller was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the First Reformed Church and also the Home Extension Club.
Survivor?s include one daughter, Claudia Stanley and her husband Marlin of the Town of Florida; one step daughter, Bonnie Butler of Kentucky; one son, Donald Cooper and his wife Janet of the Town of Florida; two step sons, Peter Zeller and family of High Springs, Florida and Jay Zeller and family of Henderson, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Sherry Kline, James and Jonathan Cooper; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Cooper, Jeffrey and Kevin Kline; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the family home, 234 Hartley Road, Town of Florida on Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 2 until 8p.m.
It was the request of Eleanor that there be no calling hours or funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 226 Manny?s Corner Road, Amsterdam.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
