Stewart and Michael,
George was a wonderful man. He worked with my Dad, Joe Morsheimer, for over 44 years as executives of Grandoe. I also worked and learned from George in my seven years at Grandoe. I think George had a wonderful disposition, was full of warmth and good humor. He worked hard and was dedicated to doing the very best. He was in all things, a good, kind and wise man who greatly added to his community. To me, this is a great life that stands as an example of how people ought to live. He will be missed.

I've worked for George for many years what a great guy, always asking how my family and I were doing. He once said, he considered me to be a good friend,as I did him. Best wishes in this time of grief to Beate and George's family

We send our sincere sympathy to George's family. George was a lovely neighbor, always there with a smile, always ready to stop and share a few moments and always interested in life. He will be sorely missed in our neighborhood. His involvement in the city he loved is indicative of his great concern for others...We are grateful to have known him. Oakland Avenue will never be the same without him.

George was a caring, loving, and terrific person. My mother Anne, who was a very close cousin, would be saddened to hear of George's death. As a youngster visiting Gloversville, I was always happy to see George and his smile and upbeat attitude. He will be missed.

George was the best next door neighbor we Basuks could ever have had. However, he was more than just a neighbor or a friend of my parents. Even though a generation separated us, he was truly a friend to the younger Basuks -- my sister Barb, brother Bill and myself. We will miss him.

I was a secretary for him, along with other executives at Grandoe in the 70's. I had a great deal of respect and admiration for him. He was always there to help, whatever the situation. Very much a gentleman indeed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
