Obituary of R. Jean Brownlee

R. Jean Brownlee, 69 of Caroga Lake, died March 23, 2006. Born on September 19, 1936 in Mineola, N.Y., she resided in Island Park and Hempstead N.Y. before moving to Caroga Lake in 1981. Ms. Brownlee worked for Nathan Littauer Hospital for many years before retiring in 1998. She will be greatly missed by all her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons: William P. III and Wayne Roantes of Maryland, Tony Roantes of Caroga Lake and Scott Brownlee of Johnstown, her daughters; Vivienne Mc Loughlin of Caroga Lake, Jeanine Arrunategui of Johnstown and Sharon Shreve of Old Town, Fla. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son; John J. Roantes in 2005. There will be no calling hours or services. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are by the Kobuskie-Konik Fuineral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
