What a darling, little lady! I always loved Ruth and knew she was special; now I know that she had many, many years of experience and her keen intelligence was proven at a young age. We, in DAR, all felt that way about Ruth and reading her obituary just adds to the admiration we had for such a dear woman. I am grateful that I knew her and will miss her. No one can take her place. Condolances to all the Veeder family. Fran Pattarini, Honorary State Regent, New York, NSDAR

Dear Harry and family,
It was a sincere pleasure to know Ruth for such a short time while in our care at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Ruth was a joy to speak with and a bundle of information on any given subject. Her love and devotion to her family is an inspiration to all of us that knew her. We will miss Ruth very much and will remember her fondly. We wish Ruth to know we will join your family in giving Harry our love and support always.
I will pray for your family..

Ruth was such an amazing woman! I had the pleasure and honor of knowing her through our membership in the Gen. Peter Gansevoort Chapter of the DAR. She offered me both guidance and inspiration in the chapter projects we shared. She always greeted me - and everyone else - with warmth and sincerity. I was always amazed at how a woman of such small stature could possess such grand character. I will greatly miss Ruth's presence in my life, but I'm grateful she was in it.
