Obituary of Mahalah C. Krutz

Mahalah C. Krutz, 78, of Rt. 5S, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born in Stone Arabia on January 20, 1928, the daughter of Ray E. and Edna Jane Thompson Adams, she lived in this area her entire life. She was employed by Mohasco and later for Industrial Knit, both in Amsterdam, and retired in 1993 as a supervisor. Mahalah was a member of St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church. On June 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Walter E. Krutz. He predeceased her on June 13, 1985. Also, her brothers, Alfred and William ?Sparky? Adams, and a sister, Nellie Gray predeceased her. Survivors include her brother, Ray E. Adams and a sister, Mary Ellen Eddy both of Amsterdam, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with the Rev. Kent McHeard officiating. Interment is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. A calling hour will precede the service at 12 noon.
