Obituary of Richard A. Carpenter
Richard A. ?Richie? Carpenter, 14, of Railroad Street, Ft. Hunter died unexpectedly Sunday evening as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Richie was born on June 19, 1991, in Gloversville to Malcolm Carpenter and Laura Slansky. He was a lifelong area resident and was in the 8th grade at Fonda- Fultonville Central School.
Richie loved to tinker with things; he enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He especially loved to race dirt bikes and go-carts and was a NASCAR fan.
Richie was predeceased by his grandfather, Martin Cramer, and two uncles, Jeff and Hondo Carpenter. He also joins in heaven his best friend, Ryan Hart.
His loving family includes his mother and step-father, Paul and Laura Slansky, his father and step-mother, Malcolm and Robin Carpenter; one sister, Katlynn Slansky; three brothers, Brandon Stark, Brian Carpenter and James Carpenter; grandparents, John and Jackie Carpenter, Gertrude Carpenter, Paul and Ida Slansky, Sally and William Lindquist and Bill and Janet Sievert; and several dear relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11a.m. at the F.M.C.C. Physical Education Building. Interment will take place in Chuctanunda Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4 until 8 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
