Obituary of Catherine S. Cosselman
Mrs. Catherine S. Cosselman, 90 of Gloversville, died Monday at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. She was born May 6, 1916 in Gloversville, daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie Henneman Edwards. Mrs. Cosselman was a graduate of Gloversville High School and attended the former Gloversville Business School. She had been employed as a glove maker for Fownes Gloves and also the Grandoe Corp. She retired in 1979. Catherine was of the Methodist faith and had been a member of the Amalgamated Glove Workers Union. She was married June 30, 1943 to Gilbert John Cosselman who died in 1976. She is survived by a brother-in-law; Clifford Japhet of Burlington, VT., cousins and several special friends: Esther Marshall, Alice Brownell, Joe and Gloria La Porta, Tim and Michelle La Porta and family, Connie Avery, and her special care givers: Lorraine Eglin, Ruth Eglin, Sandy Sanders, and Jan McNamara. A funeral; service will be conducted 2 pm Thursday from the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street with Reverend Wayne Jones officiating. Friends may call from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery. Contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of choice.
