Obituary of Rose G. LaConte

Rose G. LaConte, age 84, of Ellsworth Street, Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Fulton County RHCF in Gloversville. She was born July 2, 1921 in Utica, NY, a daughter of the late Rocco and Maria Ciotto Timpani. She came to Amsterdam as a child and attended local schools. She was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. She was employed by Rose Snell Gloves and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the former St. Rita Sodality of the church, the St. Agnello Auxiliary and the Hi-Lo Seniors. Rose was married June 7, 1947 to Joseph LaConte, Sr. who passed away May 27, 1987. Survivors include four dear sons, Vincent LaConte of Florida, Ronald LaConte of Schenectady, NY, Robert and Jennifer LaConte of Amsterdam, NY and Joseph, Jr. and Susan LaConte of Amsterdam, NY; a sister, Grace Rossi of Amsterdam, NY and grandchildren, Kristen Martin of Amsterdam, NY, Michael LaConte of North Carolina, Derek LaConte of Amsterdam, NY and Melissa Lasher of Amsterdam, NY. She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Bonanno and a grandson, Vincent LaConte, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:15 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Grove Street, Amsterdam. Rev. Victor Polito officiating. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, Amsterdam. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.
