Obituary of Milicent Eleanor Schoonmaker

Mrs. Milicent Eleanor Schoonmaker, 88, formerly of Park Hill Adult Home, passed away Saturday morning. Born in Amsterdam on April 16, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Sigsbury Davis. She was a lifelong area resident and was a 1935 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Mrs. Schoonmaker was employed for by Attorney Nathan Aison for a number of years before retiring in 1983. She was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Amsterdam. Mrs. Schoonmaker was predeceased by her husband Tracey and all 9 of her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son Tracey Schoonmaker Jr. of Florida; one daughter Deena Schoonmaker of Amsterdam; and one granddaughter Keri Dyke; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at a Graveside Service on Thursday, July 13 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Fairview cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Schoonmaker?s name may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, 25 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
