Obituary of Marion B. Jeffords
Mrs. Marion B. Jeffords, 86 of Broadalbin, died Tuesday at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. She was born May 14, 1920 in Vail Mills, N.Y., daughter of the late John C. and Blanche Richards Lingenfelter. Mrs. Jeffords was educated in Broadalbin schools and a life long resident. She was employed as a glove maker for Crossley Glove Co. in Broadalbin until 1956 when began her family. Later in life, she was employed in the cafeteria at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital from 1974 to retiring in 1992. Marion was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Broadalbin and of the ladies group, SYL Class. Her great joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Justis. Marion was married May 24, 1947 to Harrison E. ?Pete? Jeffords who pre-deceased her in 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Debra M. Jeffords and her son-in-law Daniel Matuk of Broadalbin, her brother, Minard Cal Lingenfelter of Broadalbin with whom she resided the past 11 years. She is also survived by her dear grandson; Justis Matuk of Broadalbin, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was pre-deceased by her sisters Mildred Kelley and Grace Semione DeFabio. She was also pre-deceased by three brothers; Harold, Roger and Arthur Lingenfelter. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Friday from the First Presbyterian Church in Broadalbin, with Reverend Linda Martin, Pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main Street, Broadalbin. Burial will be in Broadalbin Cemetery.
