Obituary of Aramy Rodriguez

Mr. Aramy Rodriguez, 59 years old of Co. Hwy. 107, died Thursday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital. He was born February 19, 1947 in Yauco, Puerto Rico, a son of Domingo and Maria Rivera Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez moved to the Amsterdam area in 1953 where he had since resided. He worked for the Amsterdam Housing Authority for 21 years. He then accepted a position with Alpin Haus as a pool technician where he was currently employed. Mr. Rodriguez enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors in general. He loved the time spent with family and traveling, especially to the track at Saratoga and to the Casino. Mr. Rodriguez married the former Mary Lou Ludwin in November of 1968 who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons; Joel V. Rodriguez of Broadalbin and Aramy Rodriguez, Jr. of Amsterdam, 4 daughters; Lori Chovanec and her husband Jeffrey of Broadalbin, Tina Rodriguez-Lair of Broadalbin, Amy Harrington and her husband Scott of Gansevoort, and Angel Weiderman and her husband Douglas of Amsterdam, 5 brothers; Hector, Dixon, Abraham, Charles and Harry Rodriguez, 5 sisters; Virginia Cerdas, Rebecca Hernandez, Ruth Hidalgo, Naomi Lee and Zulma Ortiz, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 5:00pm Sunday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will be in St. John?s Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 3 until 5:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
