Obituary of Joyce Ann Olson

Joyce Ann Olson, 54 years old of Barber Street, died Sunday at Basset Hospital in Cooperstown. She was born October 31, 1951 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of Russell and Phyllis Elston Freeman and was a life long resident of the Fonda area. Joyce had been employed by St. Mary?s Hospital as a switch board operator for many years. She was known for her clown collection and for the tissue boxes that she made for the drivers at Fonda Speedway. Joyce loved spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly A. Hall of Fonda, 4 brothers; Russell, Larry, Gary and Jeff Freeman, and her 2 sisters; Jean Mullinex and Kathy Freeman. Also surviving are her grandson Zachary Dufel, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Wednesday at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4 until 7:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
