Obituary of Shirley L. Compani

Shirley L. Compani, 79, of East St., Fonda, NY passed away Saturday July 29, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Fonda, New York on July 6, 1927 a daughter of William and Margaret Hartigan Lotridge. She was a lifelong resident of Fonda and was a 1945 Graduate of Fonda High School. She was employed by the former Upstate Telephone Company and later worked for the cooperative extension in Fonda for over 40 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Glen-Mohawk Seniors, and the Fonda Reformed Church. She also was the Treasurer for the Fonda High School Alumni Association. She married Patrick J. Compani on June 16, 1956 he passed away on October 3, 1985. Survivors include two sisters, Margaret ?Peggy? LaBarge of Fultonville, NY and Elizabeth ?Betty? Zayicek of Johnstown, NY. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 11:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY with the Rev. Christopher DeGraff presiding. Interment will be in St. Cecilia?s Cemetery, Fonda, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends today, Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 4:00-7:00P.M. at the funeral home. The Glen-Mohawk Seniors will meet at the funeral home at 4:00P.M. today.
