Obituary of Mary A. Berner

Mary A. Berner, 93, died on August 12, 2006 at the Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Hallmark in Schenectady, NY where she had been a long time resident. Mrs. Berner was born in Amsterdam, NY. on October 3, 1912 a daughter of Andrzej and Zofia Citak Olbrych. She lived her entire life in Amsterdam prior to her residency at the nursing home. She attended St. Stanislaus School in Amsterdam and later attended Amsterdam Public Schools. She was employed by Mohawk Carpet Mills in the finishing department and later became a full time homemaker enjoying her family and domestic activities, She was pre-deceased by her husband William Berner in 1990 and also was pre-deceased by 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters. She is survived by her son- William Berner of the Town of Florida, NY Two Grandchildren, Kristen J. Berner of the Town of Florida, NY and Karl W. Berner of Knoxville, Tennessee. Her daughter in law, Joyce Berner also survives of Amsterdam. Funeral services are private. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam. Calling hours will be held on Monday this evening from 6:00-8:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
