Obituary of Amelia Fagiani
Amelia ?Madge? Fagiani, 89, of Gloversville, passed away at her home Saturday August, 12, 2006. Born and educated in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late Silvio and Malli Perdona Mosconi. A lifelong resident of Gloversville, Madge was employed as a glove maker for the Gates Mills and Grandoe Corporation until her retirement in 1979. She was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, and was a member of the church?s Women?s Society. A lover of bowling, she bowled in area leagues. She was also a member of the Ida McGinnis Sr. Citizens. She was the widow of the late Thomas Fagiani whom she married on November 3, 1945. A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by two sons, David Fagiani, Sandy and Tim Fagiani, Sharon both of Gloversville, and her grandchildren Jeremy Bornt Christine and Ryan Bornt Emily, and by her great-grandchildren, Emilee and Ahne Van Allen. She was predeceased by her three brothers, August, Eugene and James Mosconi, and by her sister Inez Allen. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Known for being a wonderful homemaker, and for her caring and gentleness to her family and friends, she will be greatly missed. A prayer service will be held at Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, on Tuesday August 15, at 9 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:30 am. Interment will be at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy made be made in her memory to the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Building Fund.
