Obituary of Nellie F. King

Nellie F. King, 83, of 96 Garfield Street, Ft. Plain, NY passed away Wednesday afternoon at home with her family by her side. Born on February 9, 1923 in Beverly, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Louis and Esther Sharp McIlvain. She moved to the area 19 years ago with her family. Mrs. King was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, as well as her husband, Harvey V. King, Sr. She is survived by her three loving children, one son, Harvey V. King, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Fort Plain; two daughters, Shirley King of New Jersey and Sally Reed and her husband Ken of North Carolina; seven cherished grandchildren and nine adorable great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday evening at 6p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. There are no calling hours. The family would like to send special thanks to Tammy King Smith and Matt Smith for caring for Nellie during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
