It's hard to believe that three weeks has gone by since Bob passed away. I feel privileged to have been a small part of his life as his friend for the better part of a decade. He leaves a legacy of love for the Mohawk Valley, its history and its people. Bob's was a welcome face, one I would always look forward to seeing at each semimonthly Lions meeting. Over the years we exchanged many wonderful stories, some of which may have actually been true. I shall always treasure the fun-filled hours we shared: the teasing and the oneupsmanhip, as well as more serious discussions of life and the acceptance of our own human shortcomings. I will remember Bob for the gentlman he truly was; for his devotion to family; for his wry wit and contagious laugh; and for his attention to detail and accuracy evidenced in his writings. Bob will be greatly missed by all. He was one of the best.

I've gotten to know Bob over the last three years through his quest to get Bill Dahlen inducted into the HOF. We traveled around to speak to different groups about this effort. His passion to document and give proper credit to the great history of the valley area and its people was a blessing. Through those efforts he will live on. I promised Bob a few weeks ago that I would continue to "carry the torch" in getting Dahlen elected. What I will miss most about Bob is his unique snicker/giggle/chuckle/laugh! We should all have such passion for life as Bob did!
Rest in peice friend,
