Obituary of Carmella Morrone Harrison
Carmella Morrone Harrison, 92, of Mechanic Street, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon at her home.
Born in Amsterdam on January 1, 1914, she was the last surviving child of Paul and Maria Sisto Morrone. She lived here most of her life and was educated locally.
A homemaker, she worked for a time at the White Stag Manufacturing Company.
A devout Roman Catholic, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Harrison; brothers, Salvatore, Michael and Anthony Morrone and sisters, Anna Sasso, Palma Druschell and Julia Morrone.
She leaves her son, Salvatore Cozzocrea and his wife Mary Lou of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, David Paul, Michael John and Jacqueline Nicole Cozzocrea and Lisa Ann Brown and great grandchildren, Regan, Taylor and Kennedy Brown; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday Sept. 11th at 9:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church with Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, celebrant. Calling hours will not be held on Sunday. The family invites everyone to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam on Monday beginning at 8:15A.M for a prayer service prior to the Mass at church. Interment is in St. Michael?s Cemetery.
