To Jim, Paul and family:
While we were not lucky enough to have known Van like the many others whose lives he touched, we do know that,
To live a life of nearly 94 years
To have a marriage stretch across seven decades
To serve both God and country with devotion
To follow your heart in pursuing your life?s work
To leave a successful business that carry?s your name
To leave a family that understands caring, love and friendship
To leave a world filled with friends and absent enemies
Is certainly to have succeeded by leaving examples for all of us to follow.
Our heartfelt sympathies to you and your families.

We surely would be in attendenace but being 3000 mi. away it is not
possible.

as he was so kind and helpful to others-
He surely made my life happier and

To My Dear Cousins: I remember Uncle Van as being such a quiet, gentle man. The memory that stands out the most is when he would visit our family, slowly stomping up the stairs to the 2nd floor, growling and slowly creeping throughout the flat looking for any one or more of the "5 Little Buyces" he could scare! What a GUY! I still have nightmares... anyway, this is quite a time for the Valovics - time marches on. God bless each of you and your families during this sad time losing both parents within a few months. I love you all! ~Gale and Bill Poole

It was quite a while ago, maybe 6 to 8 years back, when we met Van and in our brief chat it seemed like we were talking to an old friend. His captivating smile and warm demeanor drew you to him. This is what we remember the most about our first and only encounter with a man who lived his life to the fullest.
God Bless You, Vandeline ... you will always be remembered.

Although Van will not be with us we will always have those crystal clear memories of him that will last more than a lifetime. While most will remember Van associated with Harleys, I have memories of another side of Van. First and foremost as a cool guy who young boys admired. My memories of Van are of him hunting, fishing, plowing snow in extreme conditions with archaic vehicles, driving old cars fast, having barns full of junk, handing out money when he had a good night, having lots of friends, selling cool bicycles, knowing police well enough to keep kids out of trouble, having fun with people, letting kids be kids and sharing his experiences with them. The list has no end to Van; a person I always admired and respected and oh what great memories, and yes I will also remember his passion for riding and racing Harleys.

Paul & Jimmy,
I remember the days when Van had the old model A Ford dump truck that he plowed with in the winter time, with an old plow that he had made, with a long pipe that ran back to the cab that he used to lift the plow with. I can remember him working down to the shop when it was 10 below with no gloves on & no heat. And the pool games that he always seemed to win. He was a good man, with a wonderful wife and family, there will never be another Van. We wish you all our condolences during these trying times.
