Obituary of Eunice Alma Gunnerson Wemple

Eunice Alma Gunnerson Wemple, 90 formerly of Shady Lane Park, Fonda, passed away Wednesday October 4, 2006 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. Born in Ludlow, Vermont at home on September 10, 1916. She was the daughter of Walter John and Helen Northup Gunnerson. She was a lifelong area resident and attended a one room school house on Hickory Hill Road in Fonda. She was the owner and operator of the former Wemples? Grocery Store on Hickory Hill Road in Fonda for over 30 Years retiring in 1977. She was loved by all who came into contact with her. She married Adam Plank Wemple he passed away on December 24, 1977. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Claudia Mcduffie of Fonda, Richard Gunnerson of Fonda, Richard Gunnerson, Jr. and Douglas Gunnerson of Fonda, Eloise Pearo of Fonda, Christopher Pearo of Matthews, North Carolina and many more nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 6, 2006 at 3:00PM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with the Rev. Joyce Jennings presiding. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday prior to the funeral service beginning at 2:00P.M. at the funeral home.
