Dear Earleen & Family:
Our deep and sincere sympathy goes out to you at this time. Earleen -what a wonderful example you have been to us as we have seen you caring for Stuart. Many people today forget about the "in sickness and in health" part of wedding vows. Stuart was truely blessed to have you and your unconditional love and devotion. I am working at the store today but we do hope to be able to stop in today at the funeral home. Keith, Kelly and Chandler Canary

A whole generation of village youth and several generations of Broadalbin residents were immensely privileged by the service, organizational abilities and overall caring of Mr. Hayes. Along with his wonderful wife Earleen, Stuart Sr. opened nis home to me and my friends as we played cards, shot pool, and dodged cars who were under the misimpression the street outside the Hayes home was not our football field. We used their living room as a band rehearsal hall. And we never heard any complaints. It is clear from the highlights of his life that Mr. Hayes began serving his country bravely at an early age and never stopped helping others. I know the many whose lives his kindness touched share our deepest regrets over his passing.
