Obituary of Josephine G. Kellogg

Josephine G. Kellogg, 72, of East Main Street, Amsterdam, died Monday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam after a short illness. Born on June 17, 1934, in Mount Holly, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Thelma Jobes. She moved to the Amsterdam area about 44 years ago where she raised her family. Mrs. Kellogg was a homemaker who will be remembered as a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband George W. Kellogg, Jr., on March 9, 1984. Her loving family includes her six children, George W. Kellogg III and his significant other Susan of Amsterdam, Steven Kellogg and his wife Vivian of Hagaman, Joseph Kellogg, Sr. and his wife Susan of Amsterdam, James Kellogg, Sr. of Amsterdam, Sharon Hauser and her friend Kenneth Marks of Tucson, Arizona and Shirley Astle and her husband Roger of Windham, New York; one brother, Herbert Jobes of South Hampton, New Jersey; one sister, Evelyn McCay of Vincentown, New Jersey; 28 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment will take place in Green Hill Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be held this evening Wednesday from 4 until 7 at the funeral home.
