Obituary of Leonard B. Henderson
Mr. Leonard B. ?Hank? Henderson, 79 of Gloversville, died Wednesday at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Henderson was born December 9, 1926 in Gloversville, son of the late Leonard and Emma Henderson. He was educated in Gloversville schools and employed as a truck driver for the Fulton County Highway Department for over 30 years. A Naval Veteran of W. W. Two, Hank also enjoyed camping and fishing in earlier years. Having strong family ties, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family at home.
He is survived by his wife; Hazel Freeman Henderson of Gloversville whom he married September 18, 1948, his children: Susan Henderson of Gloversville, Catherine Michael Stewart of Johnstown, Lois Barker of Gloversville, Gregory Valerie Henderson of Johnstown and David Henderson of Gloversville. He is also survived by two sisters; Laura Leo Guyette of Gloversville and Ramona Bert Workman of Ledyard, CT., Nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Henderson was pre-deceased by two sons: Gerald and Timothy Henderson and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
