Obituary of Concetta Ruberti Scoville
Concetta ?Connie? Ruberti Scoville, long time Gloversville resident, died November 8, 2006 at Mt. Loretta Nursing Home in Amsterdam. She was educated in Gloversville schools and employed as a glove maker for many years retiring from the former Garfinkle Glove Co. Devoted to her family, she loved cooking, gardening and enjoying her family at her home. Mrs. Scoville was married November 22, 1941 to Almond Scoville who predeceased her in 1986.
She is survived by a daughter; Carol Colavito of Port Jervis, New York, a brother Albert Ruberti of Gloversville, one sister Jane Eaton of Johnstown, four grandchildren: Chad Jason O?Connor, Shannon Rory O?Connor, Connie Colavito and her friend David Martin and Ron Colavito and his wife Tera. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Nicholas Colavito, her son-in-law Rick O?Connor of Selkirk, several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mrs. Scoville was predeceased by a daughter, Ruth Ann O? Connor, three brothers; Ernest, Anthony and Oscar Ruberti Jr. and two sisters; Anna and Ida Ruberti. She was also predeceased by her parents Oscar and Raffaela Albini Ruberti Sr.
A prayer service will be held 9:15 am Monday at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville and at 10 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville with Reverend Donald Czelusniak, Pastor, as celebrant. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
